Ochre Heath

This project was designed as part of a coursework unit on interactive wayfinding design. The brief was to create an interactive wayfinding solution for the Ochre Health clinic located on the University of Canberra campus. The aim was to develop a design concept that would improve wait times and reduce confusion. I conducted on site research including interviews and circulation analysis, along with comparative analysis of how these problems had been addressed at other clinics.

The final design solution incorporates existing branding to provide a visually distinct signage system, a check-in, reminder and appointment scheduling app, as well as a touch free check-in kiosk with a pager dispenser. The visual design is peaceful and calming, while incorporating imagery of nature and interactive elements. Highlights of the final design are a wait time display system to reduce anxiety, fully touchless solutions for hygiene and distinct high-contrast visual appeal to help directional signage stand out to clients.
